See More of Rishikesh Without Turning Your Holiday Into a Checklist
Four days gives you enough time to experience several sides of Rishikesh without committing to a long retreat.
You practise yoga and receive wellness therapies, but you also leave the retreat centre. You watch sunrise over the Himalayan foothills, experience the Ganga, travel into Garhwal, visit sacred sites and still have time to rest.
Anandmaya arranges the structure around you, so you spend less time planning taxis, classes, excursions and appointments and more time actually experiencing Rishikesh.
No Fixed Retreat Batch Required
This retreat is designed to be flexible. You do not have to wait for a monthly group departure.

The Places You Will Experience
This retreat is designed to introduce you to different faces of Rishikesh and the surrounding Garhwal region. Tap any destination below to discover more.
Kunjapuri
High above Rishikesh, Kunjapuri offers a very different perspective on the landscape below.
Discover Kunjapuri +
Kunjapuri is a hilltop temple in Tehri Garhwal, dedicated to the Divine Mother tradition. Travellers visit early in the morning for the combination of temple atmosphere, changing light and panoramic Himalayan views.
For the retreat, the value of the excursion is not simply “seeing a sunrise.” It is the experience of leaving Rishikesh before the town wakes and beginning the day from a quieter mountain setting.
Ganga Aarti
Lamps, mantra, bells and the evening Ganga create one of Rishikesh's most recognisable spiritual experiences.
Why Experience Ganga Aarti? +
Ganga Aarti is an evening ritual of prayer and offering performed beside the river. Rather than watching it as a stage performance, the retreat gives you time to simply sit, observe and experience the atmosphere.
It makes a natural first evening in Rishikesh because the river immediately becomes part of the journey.
River Rafting
Rishikesh is not only a place for stillness. The Ganga also brings movement, energy and adventure.
What to Expect +
The rafting portion is organised through local professional operators and the exact stretch depends on current river conditions, season and permissions.
It creates a beautiful contrast within the retreat: yoga in the morning, the energy of the river, then Ayurvedic massage and sound healing later in the day.
Devprayag
Watch two Himalayan rivers meet beneath the old pilgrimage town of Devprayag.
Why Devprayag Matters +
Devprayag is the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers. From their meeting point, the combined river continues downstream with the name Ganga.
The contrasting rivers, mountain settlement and temple landscape make this more than a conventional sightseeing stop. It connects the river you see in Rishikesh with its Himalayan geography upstream.
Raghunath Temple
Walk through Devprayag's sacred centre and visit the historic Raghunath Temple dedicated to Lord Rama.
Discover the Temple +
Rather than rushing through Devprayag after seeing the confluence, the temple visit gives you time to experience the pilgrimage character of the town.
The focus here is less on checking off another monument and more on understanding why Devprayag has remained important in the sacred geography of Garhwal.
Vashishta Gufa
After a day of mountain roads and sacred geography, enter one of the quieter meditation spaces near Rishikesh.
The Tradition of Vashishta Gufa +
The cave is traditionally associated with Sage Vashishta, one of the Saptarishis of Hindu tradition, and is visited today as a place for silent meditation.
The experience is deliberately simple. You remove your shoes, enter quietly, sit for a little while and allow the pace of the whole day to disappear.
Between Every Excursion, You Return to Practice & Rest
The retreat is not only about where you go. It is also about the rhythm you return to each day.
You Don't Need to Wait for a Fixed Retreat Date
