Ashish Juyal
Ashish Juyal's connection with Jyotish began long before astrology became a formal field of study for him.
One of his earliest influences was his maternal uncle, a respected Jyotish in his village. Growing up around that influence created an early curiosity about astrology, karma and the deeper intelligence behind human life.
From 2013 onward, Ashish's professional journey remained closely connected with spirituality. He supported the organisation of satsangs and spiritual gatherings in Rishikesh, including work connected with Mooji Baba between 2013 and 2020.
During a career spanning almost fifteen years in spiritual travel, retreats and hospitality, he also helped teachers and facilitators from different parts of the world come to Rishikesh and organise retreats, programmes and spiritual journeys.
Through these years he remained close to teachings centred on awareness, surrender, karma, detachment and self-understanding. When he later began practising Vedic Astrology deeply, something particularly meaningful began to emerge.
Many principles he had repeatedly encountered through spiritual teachers began to make logical sense through Jyotish. Ideas about attachment, conditioning, karma, timing and the unfolding of life could be studied through the structured language of the birth chart.
This is the perspective he brings into his teaching today. Students learn chart analysis and prediction, but are also encouraged not to become psychologically trapped by astrology.
Jyotish can help us understand tendencies and timing while also cultivating greater awareness, compassion and detachment rather than fear or fatalism.
Ashish has spent more than three years in deep Jyotish practice, research, consultations and teaching. He is currently pursuing formal two-year diploma studies in astrology under Dipanshu Giri Ji, alongside independent research and practical chart work.
In recent years, he has trained dozens of astrology students and conducted hundreds of consultations with people from India and around the world, both in person and through private video calls.
His teaching brings together traditional Jyotish principles, practical chart analysis, prediction techniques and the spiritual perspective that has shaped much of his own journey.

Do I need previous knowledge of astrology?
No. This is a Foundation Course designed for beginners. The programme starts with the basic language and structure of Vedic Astrology before gradually progressing into chart synthesis and introductory prediction.
Will I be able to read charts after seven days?
The course is designed to give you a structured Foundation-level method for approaching and beginning to interpret a Vedic birth chart independently. Continued practice after the course is important for developing confidence and depth.
Will I learn prediction techniques?
Yes. The Foundation Course introduces practical prediction through Blank Chart Reading, house activation, Vimshottari Dasha, important transits, Dispositor Theory, Paribhraman Paddhati and chart synthesis.
Is there an examination or minimum score requirement?
No percentage-based examination is required. The emphasis is on understanding, practical chart work and guided learning rather than exam pressure.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Students receive an Anandmaya Retreat Vedic Astrology Foundation Course Certificate of Completion after completing the seven-day programme and practical chart-reading work.
What does free lifetime mentorship include?
Students can continue asking Ashish questions as their practice develops. This may include clarification of course techniques, chart-reading questions, direction for further study and occasional video-call guidance when deeper explanation is useful. Mentorship is provided according to Ashish's availability and carries no additional mentorship fee.
What is included in the residential programme?
The residential programme includes the complete Vedic Astrology Foundation Course, seven nights accommodation, a private room with attached bathroom, three vegetarian meals daily, morning yoga, pranayama or Yoga Nidra, Wi-Fi, hot water, complimentary Dehradun airport arrival and departure transfer, one Ayurvedic massage, one sound-healing session, study material, Certificate of Completion and free lifetime mentorship.
Is the Foundation Course available online?
Yes. Students who cannot travel to Rishikesh can enquire about private one-to-one online Vedic Astrology learning with Ashish. Scheduling and tuition fees are confirmed individually.
Is the course focused on spirituality or prediction?
Both dimensions are present. You learn practical chart analysis and Foundation-level prediction while also exploring Jyotish as a tool for awareness, responsibility and a deeper understanding of karma, tendencies and timing.
Does astrology guarantee future events?
No. Jyotish is interpretive and should be approached responsibly. Astrology can help explore tendencies, themes and timing, but predictions are not guarantees and astrology should not replace professional medical, legal or financial advice.
