At Anandmaya Retreat, Vedic Astrology is taught progressively. Students first learn how a birth chart is constructed and interpreted. From there, deeper levels explore zodiacal intelligence, karmic patterns, planetary reasoning and practical predictive judgement.

The objective is not simply to memorise hundreds of combinations. Students are encouraged to understand why a placement behaves as it does and then test that understanding through real birth charts.

Jyotish was never merely another subject for me to study.
My relationship with astrology is connected with my family roots, spiritual life and a long-standing curiosity about why human lives unfold in such different ways.
Traditional spiritual understanding was present within my family, including important influences from my maternal side. Those early experiences created questions that later developed into formal astrological study and a much deeper engagement with Jyotish.

I completed a formal Diploma in Astrology and continued learning through practical chart reading, consultations and repeated observation of real birth charts.
My spiritual journey and years of working with seekers have shaped how I understand astrology. For me, Jyotish is not merely about predicting future events. It can also become a means of understanding tendencies, karmic patterns, choices and responsibility.
Today I teach students from India and different parts of the world at Anandmaya Retreat in Rishikesh. Classes remain intentionally personal, allowing students to ask questions, work with real charts and gradually develop their own astrological reasoning.

Admission to Predictive Astrology I and II is not automatic. Previous knowledge, readiness and suitability for deeper study are considered before a student is accepted.

Why is there an assessment for the advanced courses?
